We are starting a brand-new Youth Jazz Band. If you are a brass, woodwind, keyboard or percussion player, are up to 21years old and want to have ago at playing in a jazz group, then this is for you. Don’t worry if you have not played in a band previously or tried improvisation. We can teach jazz techniques and help you to develop jazz playing skills.
The band is free to join and you can just come along for one or two sessions to see if you enjoy it. Starting on Wednesday 7th October, the jazz band will rehearse weekly on Wednesday evenings from 6 pm to 7:30 pm at our bandroom.
The band will be led by Josh Tagg, supported by Ash Horton and will include a few experienced players from our big band to help out.
