We have started a traditional-style Big Band which is aimed at players at a standard of Grade 7 and above. The Big Band holds weekly rehearsals on Wednesday evenings starting at 7:45pm.
The Big Band is led by Ash Horton who has been a long standing member of the BBC Big Band and has played with the John Dankworth Big Band, Michel Legrand Big Band, Syd Lawrence Orchestra and Clare Teal’s Mini Big Band.
Our Big Band plays regular concerts featuring top-name soloists such as Mike Lovatt, Georgina Jackson, Matt Ford, Mark Nightingale, Tim Garland, Louise Clare Marshall and James Copus.
