Our informal day-time band is for people who prefer to play during the daytime, or who may not have time to attend our evening rehearsals.
We have called the band AmJam to reflect the casual, “club” feel of the group. It is aimed at existing brass instrument players, or ‘comeback’ players who may be returning after a break. AmJam is suitable for people of all ages, including those with children at school, retired people, part-time or home workers, and shift workers. In fact anyone who would like to spend a couple of hours a week making music with others.
AmJam is led by our Musical Director, Paul Fisher and meets every Tuesday afternoon during school term time from 1:30pm.
In addition to the regular rehearsals, AmJam also runs a school outreach programme, where the band visits local schools to perform and educate children about brass instruments.
