After 20 years leading the organisation, Amersham Band Chairman, Fred Harrison, has decided to stand down at the next AGM in March 2024.
A great deal of progress has been made over the years and the band is in a very healthy position with its own custom built bandroom, strong finances, high membership numbers and a growing reputation, locally and nationally. As such, this is a good time to hand over the leadership to a new chair, someone who can lead the band through the next stage of our journey.
The Chairman role is to provide overall leadership of the organisation. Supporting the Chairman there is a committed and active management committee and each band has a band manager and team who organise the band activities and membership
The band is running a recruitment process to seek applications for a new chair, both internally from within our membership, and externally.
