Amersham Youth Band is aimed at young brass players up to age 18 and at a standard of Grade 5 and above. The Youth Band has 15 rehearsals a year on Sunday mornings during term time. Paul Fisher and Ash Horton are the musical directors who work on repertoire to ensure that everyone can enjoy making music together whilst also learning how to improve their individual and ensemble playing.
We also support Amersham Youth Band with experienced players from our other bands to act as mentors. In addition to the monthly rehearsals, there are occasional performances to share the progress that the band is making with our local community. We also enter the Youth Band Championships, usually in March each year.
For the 2025 Summer term we will run rehearsals on 11 May, 1 June and 6 July, starting at 10am and finishing at 1pm.
