This year’s course promises the same high-energy, fun-filled experience, with world-class tutors and soloists joining forces with our talented Amersham Band Team. Designed specifically for young brass and percussion players, our programme provides an inspiring and friendly environment for learning and growth.
Matilda Lloyd Joins as Guest Tutor and Soloist
We’re thrilled to announce that Matilda Lloyd will be joining us as guest tutor and soloist at this year’s Amersham Summer Brass Course. Matilda is an internationally acclaimed trumpet soloist, praised for her “intense expression and immense warmth” (BBC Music Magazine). The young musicians will have the rare opportunity to work closely with one of the most exciting brass musicians of her generation and experience her inspirational musicianship both in rehearsals and in performance.
Evening concerts will showcase an exciting lineup of Amersham Band ensembles and soloists. Summer Course participants can attend these performances for free, while tickets for friends and family will be available soon. Join us for four days of music, friendship, and unforgettable memories!

Times: 10:00 am – 5:00 Friday – Sunday, 14:00 start on Monday with closing concert featuring Matilda Lloyd in the evening.

Who can join? Brass and percussion players aged 11–21 with Grade 4+ playing ability
