We are pleased to report that the Charity Commission has accepted our application and that Amersham Band is now a registered Charitable Incorporated Organisation. Our Charity Registration Number is 1162520.
The key objective for the new Amersham Band CIO is to improve, develop and advance the public education in, and appreciation of, the art and science of brass band music in all its aspects by any means the trustees see fit, including through the presentation of public concerts and practice and performance.
We are delighted at this development as it is an important step forward for the band, as it enables us to purchase property and to claim tax benefits, both of which are key as we strive for the goal of our own Amersham Bandroom.
