A giant sausage

It’s not often that the band comes across a giant sausage floating in the High Street. We were invited to provide a marching band to be filmed as part of a commercial. Twelve band members got the chance to experience an afternoon being on a film set as the story-line of the commercial required a parade down a village High Street. Great Missenden had been chosen as the venue and this meant that for each “take” the high street was closed to traffic. The cast, including the band, had to assemble quickly in the street, with the band marching and playing while the camera rolled. Then back to the pavements so the road could be opened before the next attempt. Even though it rained, it was great fun and the band is looking forward to seeing the final film result, assuming we don’t end up on the cutting room floor. Pictured are cornet players Jen Bagshaw, Marion Mayhew and Rob Reeder, together with the giant sausage.
