The band is delighted to be have been invited to share a stage with the multi-award-winning Brighouse & Rastrick Band, regarded by many as the best and most consistent ‘public subscription band’ in the world. The joint concert was held at the Wycombe Swan on Sunday 12 June 2016. Amersham Band’s events manager, Philip Sweetman, said “it was a huge honour for the band to perform alongside the Brighouse & Rastrick Band – it is a great recognition of Amersham Band’s rapidly gaining reputation for high quality performances.” Amersham Band played in the first half, followed by Brighouse and Rastrick. Both bands took to the stage for a massed bands finale, playing Phoenix followed by the ever popular Floral Dance.
