The band is delighted to have been awarded the Chiltern District Council Community Group Award. This recognises the contribution that the band has made to the community, entertaining local residents. The Award was presented by District Councillor Graham Harris, who acknowledged the 170 year heritage of the band and praised the recent efforts the band had made to encourage people to participate in music making. Fred Harrison and Caroline Perkins received the Award Trophy on behalf of the band.
Caroline said “A big thank-you all our volunteers, players and Musical Directors for their commitment to the band and the brass band community.”
