Amersham Union House Treat

Announcement Date: 16th August 1851

On Tuesday last the inmates of the Amersham Union had a holiday given to them by the Guardians, when they assembled in the grounds of Mr Goddard, one of the guardians, who kindly allowed the use of the grounds for the occasion. The Amersham Brass Band lent their services, and many of the inhabitants joined the party. The afternoon was spent in cricket, fencing, and all kinds of sports and pastimes.
